WoW Paladin Guide

In this WoW Paladin Guide you’ll learn about the Paladin and strategies specific to this WoW class.

Paladin: Introduction

In Warcraft the Paladin is the holy knight or holy warrior. The unique attributes of the Paladin are in many regards a combination of the Warrior and Priest. If you want a flexible play style with aspects of both the Priest and Warrior then this could be the perfect class for you. The Paladin class is only available to the Human, Dwarf, Draenei, and Blood Elf races.

I’ll go into some of the Paladin’s strengths later but one thing they’re really good at is combat. Much of this is due to their heavy plate armor that can withstand huge amounts of damage. With massive weapons such as 2 handed maces, axes, swords, and polearms they can dish out absolute distruction to their enemies.

On the other end of the spectrum they’re incredible healers that not only heal themselves but also heal allies and resurrect the dead. This along with their ability to protect allies with auras and blessings make them great for groups.

WoW Paladin Guide: The Basics

Spells:

Being secondary spell casters, Paladins are able to cast spells known as Seals. For the 2 minute these last you can increase your ability to cause damage or generate mana. Paladins’ abiliities such as casting spells depend heavily on mana.

Seals can also provide Judgment which can cause more damage or prevent enemies from fleeing.

Auras:

With a bubble of up to 40 yards Auras provide really good buffs to groups.

Blessings:

Blessings are like auras but apply to characters. They have a 10 minute life but can give you the ability to regenerate your mana or have more attacking power.

Professions:

In conclusion of this WoW Paladin Guide I’ll give you a quick look at some good profession combinations for the Paladin.

  • Herbalism + Alchemy: Save your mana by using potions for healing instead.
  • Mining with Blacksmithing: Make your armor yourself instead of getting it at the Auction House or through questing.
  • Mining & Engineering: You can make gadgets like grenades which give you more ability for ranged attacks.
